Plantation Intermediate

Well, after a morning of AP Biology and AP Calculus I got to the barn to pack up for my first intermediate at Plantation! We arrived Thursday and after Blazer got a moment to settle in I tacked up and headed across the road to have a lesson with Jenn before Friday's dressage. Before I knew it it was Friday and time for our dressage test and we made the long hack across the road to the horse trial dressage rings. Blazer was amazing and got a 33.1! After a couple hours to sit and think it was time for show jumping. Blazer felt awesome in the warm up and when we were in the ring he was just as good. We didn't exactly agree to a distance into the triple and I ended up jumping through it on the buckle but Blazer kept going and we had the only clear round in our division! Saturday we didn't go cross country until 5 so I got to spend the day watching the CIC*** and advanced cross country which was so much fun. Finally I got Blazer over to cross country and the first half of the course rode great. We had just gotten through the coffin and we were in a good rhythm when the jump judge at 14 pulled me up and told me there was a hold on course, the horse in front of me was stuck in a jump and I had to wait about 10 minutes before continuing. We started back just fine though and finished the course slow but clear. This weekend was a great first intermediate (the blue ribbon helps) but I'm definitely still learning and hopefully we clean up some of the little things and have a great ride next weekend at Middleburg! until then it's back to my senior year of high school for the week, 9 months to graduation!
